Is SMP the same as a tattoo?

In short, yes — pigment is placed under the skin, so it sits under the umbrella of a tattoo. But SMP uses a very different technique to replicate individual hair follicles: the needles, depth and method are all designed for realism, not bold ink.

Does it hurt?

Minimal. Most clients rate it around 3/10 compared to a traditional tattoo. Pain thresholds vary, and we do everything we can to keep you comfortable throughout.

Will it look real?

Realism is our specialism. Will's signature "Undetectable" technique creates natural-looking results that even barbers don't spot — see the Results section above for honest before & afters.

How long does SMP last?

Typically 2–5 years before a light touch-up is recommended. We only use carbon-based black pigments, so it fades naturally and never turns blue.

How many sessions will I need?

Most treatments take 2–3 sessions, each 2–4 hours depending on the area. You'll get a clear timeline at your free consultation.

Can SMP cover transplant scars?

Yes. SMP is one of the most effective ways to camouflage FUT/FUE scarring and add density to a transplant area for a fuller, even look.
